Being in nature feels different. Being in nature on a motorcycle is beyond description. In May 2025 a four-day TET route was ridden through Turkey’s mountains, forests and highland pastures.
What is the TET Türkiye route?
TET stands for Trans Euro Trail, an off-road route network that crosses Europe from end to end, mostly on dirt roads. It is known as a network built by volunteers and followed with GPS tracks, so every rider can set their own pace. Turkey has its own TET line, and it draws enduro lovers.
Where did the four days go?
The riding started in Istanbul and covered mountains, forests and highland pastures around Bursa, Kütahya, Eskişehir and Afyon. The footage from the second day belongs to the TET Route series we shared in May 2025, and more detailed videos and locations will follow. Dirt-road riding notes
As a riding instructor and active rally raid competitor, Doruk offers a few general principles:
- Keep your eyes where you want to go, not on the front wheel.
- Avoid abrupt throttle and brake input, especially on loose ground.
- Read the surface: gravel, sand, mud and rock each ask for something different.
- In a group, keep your distance rather than riding side by side in the dust.
Off-road riding is rewarding but technical, so the MEB-approved Advanced and Safe Riding Techniques course is a good foundation.
